Transient

This work explores the many aspects of the experience of being a young woman in our current time.  It examines the contrast between the feeling of freedom to live the life we want to, and the continued oppressive feelings of societal pressures and the unrealistic standards we set for ourselves.  Three female dancers representing three individual women, yet at other times together represent and form one single woman.  Transient questions the way we view and treat ourselves, and criticize the way we are treated by others and our society as a whole.  It looks to answer the questions we ask ourselves, and explore and understand the regrets and nostalgia we experience.  In search for clarity and understanding we will look to separate and sort the feelings, experiences, and relationships that are truly important from the trivial thoughts and experiences we have, with the objective to leave the latter behind.
