Founders

Zoetic Dance Ensemble was founded in 1999 through the joint efforts of Co-Founders Candess Giyan and Melanie Lynch-Blanchard who served as Co-Artistic Directors until 2007. Zoetic became a non-profit organization in 2002.

Candess Giyan

Candess Giyan is a Native of Denver, Colorado. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1996 where she spent many years growing up and figuring out that her heart lies in the art of movement. Melanie Lynch-Blanchard

Melanie Lynch-Blanchard is from a small city in northern New Jersey, right across the Hudson River from the center of the world, New York City. She trained at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, as well as countless ballet, modern and jazz schools throughout the city.
