Melanie Lynch-Blanchard - Director

Melanie Lynch-Blanchard Melanie Lynch-Blanchard trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center  and the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, NY and received a BFA in Visual Art from the Atlanta College of Art in Atlanta. She Co-Founded Zoetic Dance Ensemble as a means of creating works that reflect the female experience, merge dance with visual media, honor classical technique and provide a learning experience for professional artists in a nurturing and collaborative environment. As Director of Zoetic, Melanie leads the company’s creative initiatives including the development of choreography, productions, repertory and partnerships. She also coordinates fundraising and marketing efforts and participates in the development of education and outreach programming including Gaining Ground, a technique and choreography residency, the Zoetic Dance Exchange workshop series and weekly company classes. Melanie’s work has appeared in the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival, the Inman Park Dance Festival, the First Glance Festival, the Flux art event in Castleberry Hill, the Georgia Ballet, Theatrical Outfit, Dad’s Garage Theater , Full Radius Dance and for Flux Projects. Melanie was named as one of the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s “Faces to Watch” in the Arts in 2003, and was the recipient of the 2002 Emerging Artist Award in Dance from the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs. She continues to lead Zoetic in the development of innovative performance and professional development programs that have been recognized as the ‘best of Atlanta’ since 2004.
