Ellen McCollister, Coordinator of Education and Outreach

Ellen McCollister graduated with honors from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, with a BFA in dance. After graduation, Ellen moved to Atlanta and began dancing with the Kris Cangelosi Dance Project. With KCDP she performed extensively, including the Fringe Festival in Atlanta and New York City, the Jazz Dance World Congress in Buffalo, NY, and the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival.  Ellen is a founding member of Zoetic, serves on the Board of Directors, and as Coordinator of Education and Outreach. Ellen also teaches and contributes choreography for concerts and outreach programs.

Ellen’s choreography has been seen in the First Glance Festival, at Dad’s Garage Theater, and in the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival. In 2006 Ellen completed a 200-hour certification at Kashi Atlanta to become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) through the Yoga Alliance and she teaches yoga at The Studio Atlanta Dance in Vinings. Ellen also teaches Modern and Jazz to students of all ages and choreographs for the student company at The Susan Chambers School of Theater Dance in Lawrenceville and Alpharetta and the Georgia Dance Conservatory in Marietta. Ellen is a graduate student at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee working toward her MFA in dance.
