Amanda Thompson

Amanda Thompson is an (almost) native of Atlanta. While attending Pebblebrook High School for the Performing Arts, she was selected to participate in the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program for dance. She has trained in, taught and performed several styles of commercial and concert dance ranging from musical theater to bellydance. Amanda has performed with Bacchus Productions, Studio Dance Theater, and choreographed for a several local dance studios. In between rehearsals Amanda earned a BA in International Relations from Agnes Scott College and a Masters in Public Administration from Georgia State University. After achieving her dance dream of performing at the Fox Theater, she accepted the position of Planning Director for the City of Decatur, Georgia. Amanda teaches Zoetic’s open company class and contributes to choreography for Zoetic’s concerts. She also serves on the Board of Directors.
