Ellie Peterson grew up in Gainesville, Georgia where she trained at the Gainesville Ballet Company and School of Ballet under Diane Callahan. While in highschool, she furthered her education as a student of the Brenau University Early College Program and graduated as an honor student. Desiring to further her general and dance-related education, she then spent three years at Point Park University and graduated summa cum laude with a Batchelor of Fine Arts. During school she performed in works by faculty and guest artists including Douglas Bentz, David Morse, and Gregory Dolbashian. She also had the opportunity to attend summer intensives with the American Ballet Theatre, Orlando School of Ballet, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance where she studied and performed diverse repertoire ranging from Coppélia to Ohad Naharin's Minus 16. Following graduation, Ellie returned to her native Georgia and has since been performing as a company member with Gotta Dance Contemporary. She is thrilled to be part of Zoetic and to continue participating in the burgeoning Atlanta dance scene!
